Vintage Bouillotte Style Brass Two-Light Table Lamp with Paper Shades, French Empire Inspired Candle Lamp on Oval Dish Base
Inspired by the bouillotte lamps that once lit French card tables, this piece sets two candle arms on a scrolled bracket, halfway up a tall central rod topped with a pointed finial. Below, a gallery-edged oval dish with small turned finials forms the base, once used to catch wax and still perfect for holding keys or trinkets. Two little card shades, one printed with sheet music and one with a tassel motif, add a playful, lived-in charm to this classic form, ideal on a writing desk or a library table.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. The brass shows marks of age and patina consistent with use, and the tassel shade has some staining.
