Honest wear and a mellow, golden surface give this candlestick the look of a piece that has lit many evenings. Its form is purely Neoclassical: an urn-shaped candle cup, a fluted column banded with fine beading, and a stepped round foot ringed with radiating gadroons. Placed on a mantel or a dining table with a single ivory taper, it adds a quiet, lived-in charm that new pieces can’t imitate.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. There are a few dents and knocks, including a mark on the fluted column, with light surface spots on the base and wear to the finish, as pictured.
