Vintage Napoleon III Style Patinated Metal Candlestick on Red Marble Base with Gilt Feet, Twin-Handled Urn Stem, Mantel Garniture
This tall candlestick has all the drama of a 19th-century French mantelpiece. Its stem swells into a twin-handled urn cast with scrolls and flowers, then narrows through turned knops to a leafy cup at the top. It stands on a stepped block of rose-red veined stone, lifted on four scrolling gilt feet that catch the light against the darker patinated metal. Once part of a clock garniture, it makes a striking companion to a mantel clock, or stands proudly on its own on a console or bookcase.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with an aged, darkened patina on the metal, wear to the gilt feet, and natural veining and light marks on the stone base.
