A pierced brass gallery does two things at once on a sconce like this — it holds the glass globe firmly in place, and it lets a share of light escape sideways through the cutwork rather than all of it being swallowed by the shade. That's the detail driving these vintage double-arm sconces, each topped with a fitted cap of fine brass filigree above the globe.
Each sconce carries two curved brass arms reaching out from a round black backplate, every arm dressed in a black-lacquered cylindrical sleeve before meeting its opal glass globe. The globes themselves are plain and rounded, chosen to diffuse the light evenly, with the pierced brass gallery sitting snugly at the neck of each one. Sold as a pair, four lights in total.
Both sconces present in very good vintage condition, with the brass filigree caps intact and the opal glass globes free of chips or cracks. The black lacquer holds its finish well throughout.
Each sconce is rewired. The pair is packed individually and shipped fully insured. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
