Hollywood Regency design loved a bold animal motif, and stylized sea creatures — dolphins especially — were a natural fit for the era's taste for exotic, sculptural forms. This vintage brass table lamp works in exactly that tradition, its base cast as a curved, textured dolphin figure rather than a plain column.

The dolphin's body sweeps upward from a round brass tray base with a rope-textured rim, a flared tail fin anchoring it at the bottom. Textured detailing runs along the curved body, leading up to a faux candle sleeve finished with cream wax-drip detailing where the socket sits. The whole piece works as a sculptural object as much as a light source.

The lamp presents in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of age and use consistent with a vintage brass piece. The brass has developed a warm patina that suits its character.
