Vintage Brass Table Lamp, Snakeskin-Pattern Fabric Shade, Claw Foot Base, 1950s

A patterned fabric shade can do the same visual work as an exotic material without using one — this lamp's shade is woven and printed in a rich brown snakeskin-look pattern, giving the warmth and texture of reptile skin while remaining entirely fabric.

The square, gently trapezoidal shade is finished in that snakeskin-print pattern with black trim, sitting above a slender black tapered column. A brass neck fitting with a leaf-shaped collar detail connects the column to a square brass base, raised on four ornate claw feet. The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb, max 40W, not included.

The lamp presents in very good vintage condition, with light age-related wear consistent with its age. The brass holds a warm, even patina throughout.
