The bouillotte lamp takes its name from a French card game once played by candlelight, where a shade that could slide up and down a central rod let players adjust the light without it dazzling the table. This pair of vintage lamps keeps that adjustable mechanism fully intact, rather than treating it as decoration.

Each lamp carries three curved brass arms in a candelabra silhouette, rising from a round base, every arm ending in a candle-style socket. A central rod, topped with a ring finial, lets the green tole shade slide up or down to the desired height. Sold as a pair, matched in scale and finish.
