Vintage Louis XVI Style Bronze and Glass Hall Lantern, Two-Light Square Pendant with Etched Panes, Reeded Frame and Ribbon Bow
Four tall glass panes form the sides of this lantern, each etched with a fine frosted border of lines and corner squares, like a picture frame drawn on glass. The bronze frame is crisp and architectural. Its uprights are reeded and banded at top and bottom with small rolled collars, and the corners swell into neat curled feet. Above the frame, a pierced cresting rises to a bronze ribbon bow, tied where the chain begins, a charming Louis XVI touch. A matching canopy with a beaded border completes the set. Inside, two candle lights glow through the etched glass, softening the light without hiding it. It’s a classic choice for an entrance hall, a landing or a stairwell.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with a natural patina to the bronze and light marks consistent with age, as pictured. Complete with its chain and ceiling canopy.
