Vintage Solid Brass Wall SconcesOrnate Rosette Backplate, Pineapple Finial, Pair
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
There's a heft to good cast brass that thinner, later reproductions never quite manage, and this pair makes that difference obvious the moment you pick one up. Each sconce is built from a single straight brass torch, thick-walled and substantial, mounted directly onto a deeply embossed round backplate — the kind of dense, high-relief scrollwork that only comes from proper casting rather than stamped sheet metal.

Each sconce carries one straight brass arm rising from a round backplate embossed with a dense pattern of acanthus leaves and scrollwork, finished at the top with a fluted capital and at the base with a small pineapple finial — a traditional motif of welcome, cast in fine detail rather than left plain. A brass leaf-form bracket sits below each backplate, adding a second layer of ornament beneath the main disc. Sold as a matched pair, both sconces share the same weight and finish.
Both sconces present in good vintage condition, the brass holding a bright, warm tone throughout and the embossed detail on each backplate remaining crisp and well-defined.
Each item is carefully and professionally packed, fully insured, and prepared for secure worldwide shipping. We handle the necessary shipping documentation, and returns are accepted within 30 days.
