This vintage lamp follows that neoclassical column form closely, built in dark, richly grained hardwood rather than brass or marble.
The turned hardwood column carries a warm reddish-brown finish that highlights the natural grain, broken up by two textured brass collars at the top and bottom of the column. It stands on a circular wood base, wired with a period-style twisted brown cloth cord, and topped with a crisp white pleated Empire shade.
The lamp presents in very good vintage condition.
