Some objects seem to have lived several lives before finding their way to you, and this one wears that history openly. Its hexagonal, garlic-neck silhouette and pair of taotie mask ring handles, mythical beast faces gripping loose bronze rings, echo a form of Chinese ritual bronze vessel with roots stretching back centuries, and the dark, weathered patina across its surface speaks to genuine age and handling over time. For collectors drawn to Asian bronzes and the layered stories they carry, a piece like this offers something rarer than a purely decorative object: a tactile connection to a much older tradition of bronze casting, now given new purpose as a lamp.
The bronze surface bears the kind of soft wear and gentle marking that comes only with real age, nothing sharp or uniform about it, and a narrow band of raised honeycomb-style relief circles the widest part of the vase, adding textural interest beneath the two handle mounts. It has been fitted at the top with a modern socket for use as a table lamp base, a practical conversion that lets a historic form continue serving a purpose in a contemporary home
Fitted with a B22 bayonet socket (bulb not included). Each item is carefully and professionally packed and fully insured for worldwide shipping. US import duties are included in the price. For other destinations, local import taxes and duties may apply and are payable by the recipient. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
