Pair of Vintage Gilt Bronze Bedside Table Lamps with Yellow Satin Fringed Shades, Acanthus Oval Bases, Boudoir Lighting
These two little bedside lamps are pure boudoir romance. Each wears a shade of lemon-yellow satin, gathered at the top into a ruffled crown, scalloped around its skirt and dripping with a double layer of soft ivory silk fringe trimmed with braid. Beneath, a slim baluster stem rises from an oval gilt bronze foot cast with curling acanthus leaves, with a leafy collar just under the shade. The look is delightfully old-fashioned and feminine, perfect either side of a bed, on a dressing table or in a guest room that deserves a little charm.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. There is wear to the gilt finish on the stems, and the fabric shades show light age and some disarranged fringe, as pictured.
