Set of Three Vintage Louis XVI Style Bronze Wall Sconces, Two-Arm Lyre Backplate with Fleur-de-Lis Crest and Beaded Bobeches
Each backplate is shaped like an elegant lyre, the classic emblem of music and harmony, its two slender sides rising to a small fleur-de-lis crest and finished below with a leafy pendant. From a central collar crowned by a little acanthus cup, two arms sweep out in leaf-edged S-scrolls to fluted trumpet cups with bead-edged drip pans and ivory candle sleeves. The gilding is bright and warm, with crisp detail throughout. As a set of three, they offer extra flexibility: one each side of a mirror and one on a facing wall, or all three in a row along a long hallway.
Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition, with light signs of use consistent with age, as pictured.
