Silver-Toned Metal Abstract Figure SculptureElongated Form, 1970s
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
Reducing a human figure down to its barest structural lines was one of the defining moves of twentieth-century sculpture — strip away mass and surface detail until only a thin, gestural silhouette remains, and the figure reads as pose and proportion rather than anatomy. This piece works entirely in that reduced vocabulary: an elongated body narrowing to thread-thin legs, arms curving outward from an open, negative-space torso, topped with a small, simplified head tilted slightly upward.

The open cutout through the torso is doing real compositional work, letting light and background show through the center of the figure rather than treating the body as a solid mass — which is part of what makes the piece read as sculptural rather than simply decorative. It stands on a rounded, weighted base finished in the same silver tone as the figure itself.
The surface holds a consistent silver-toned finish without flaking or discoloration. At 33 cm tall and just 8 cm wide, it's built for a shelf, desk, or narrow console rather than a floor placement, and its slim footprint makes it easy to group with other small objects.
It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
