Vintage 1940s Gilt Bronze Eagle Trophy Paperweight with Spread Wings on Stepped Wood Plinth, Desk Sculpture or Office Decor
Wings flung wide, this eagle seems to rise straight off its plinth, every feather cast in deep, ragged ridges that catch the light along its spread. The gilt bronze has a warm, slightly worn shine, brighter on the wing edges and body. It’s mounted through a small engraved brass collar onto a stepped, moulded wooden plinth with a rich reddish-brown finish, the kind once used for trophies and presentation pieces. It’s a strong, symbolic piece for a desk, a bookshelf or a mantel, and a fitting gift for a graduation, a promotion or a retirement.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with light wear to the gilding and small marks to the wooden base consistent with age, as pictured.
