Vintage 1960s–70s Bronze Sardinian Archer Sculpture on Black Marble Base, Nuragic Bronzetto Style Warrior with Bow, Mid-Century Decor
Elongated and stylised, with a horned helmet, a stiff upright stance and a bow drawn across the body, this archer echoes the small bronze warriors made on Sardinia by the Nuragic culture nearly three thousand years ago. Cast in heavy bronze, it has a rich green and dark brown patina that settles into every rough, hand-worked surface. It’s mounted on a dark marble block veined with white. Part ancient echo, part mid-century sculpture, it sits beautifully among books, on a desk or alongside brutalist and modernist pieces.
Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition, with a rich green patina and no damage. The figure has slight play where it joins the base but stands firmly.
