A brass balance scale with two suspended pans hangs from a graduated arc pointer above the fulcrum, mounted on a black-painted wood base finished with brass trim. The base includes a small working drawer with a round brass knob, standing on four short brass feet. A central brass post continues upward from the scale's center to the socket, topped with a white pleated fabric shade.
The lamp presents in good vintage condition, with signs of use consistent with its age.
