A candlestick from the 1910s had to earn its place on a table — no electric switch to hide behind, just the honest glow of a flame and whatever beauty the maker could paint around it. This pair does exactly that, each one hand-decorated with the kind of floral and heraldic detail that turned a simple household object into something worth keeping for a century.

Rising from a flared, footed base, each candlestick carries hand-painted florals in blue, yellow, and green, with a coat of arms — complete with lions, a crown, and a shield — worked into the design. The scalloped edges at rim and base add a final decorative flourish, the kind of detail meant to be noticed up close, not just from across the room.

The candlesticks present in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear that add authenticity rather than diminish it. The hand-painted colors have held their brightness beautifully across more than a century.
