Vintage Mid-Century Wall Sconce, Brass-Tone Metal with Clear Diamond-Pattern Glass Shade, 20.5 cm
Mid-century European homes loved a simple wall light that did more than just give light. Designers paired small metal fittings with patterned glass shades, so that when the lamp was switched on, the wall around it came alive with soft reflections. These modest sconces lit bedrooms, hallways and reading corners across Europe.
This wall sconce is in that mid-century style. A round brass-tone wall plate holds a short arm finished with a small pointed tip. A black cup on the arm carries a tall cylinder of clear glass with a raised diamond pattern. Each small facet in the pattern acts like a tiny prism, bending the light as it passes through and casting a warm pattern of light and shadow onto the wall around it.
The sconce shows signs of use consistent with its age, and it is in neat vintage condition. Like every lamp we sell, it is checked in our workshop before it is sent, so it arrives ready to use. It makes a charming bedside reading light, or a soft accent in a hallway.
In short, this is a vintage mid-century wall sconce in brass-tone metal with a clear diamond-pattern glass shade. It is 20.5 cm tall and exactly as pictured.
