Pair of French Vintage Style Two-Arm Wall Sconces, Bronze-Tone Metal Urn Bodies with Scrolled Arms and Candle Sleeves

Two candle lights on curling arms, set either side of a small classical urn: this pair is made to bring an old-house glow to any wall. Their warm bronze tone and drip-moulded candle sleeves recall the candlelit rooms they imitate. They are a classic, welcoming way to light a room.

Each sconce is centred on an urn-shaped body with gadrooned and fluted bands, hung from a pierced scroll bracket and finished below with a small acorn drop. Two scrolled arms curve out from the urn, each ending in a drip pan and cup holding a tan candle sleeve with moulded drips. The urn at the heart of each sconce is a neoclassical favourite, a shape borrowed from ancient vessels and turned into pure ornament.

The pair is in good vintage condition, with signs of age to the finish, and our workshop fully rewires both before they leave. Their signs of age are left as they are, part of their warmth. Hung on either side of a fireplace, a mirror or a bed, they give a warm, candle-like light.

The pair: two bronze-tone metal two-arm wall sconces with urn bodies, scrolled arms, drip pans and candle sleeves.
