Pair of Sciolari-Style Wall SconcesBrushed Metal & Smoked Glass, 1970s Italy
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
There's a specific kind of glamour that belongs to 1970s Italian lighting design, confident, sculptural, unapologetically modern. This pair captures it perfectly: brushed metal cylinders topped with generous smoked-glass globes, the kind of silhouette that turns a plain hallway or stairwell into something with real presence. It's easy to picture these flanking a mirror or lighting either side of a bar cart, the kind of pair that collectors of Italian design keep an eye out for, sculptural enough

Each sconce pairs a brushed metal body, perforated with a row of ventilation slats, with a large round globe in smoked blown glass, giving the pieces a warm, slightly hazy glow when lit. The proportions are bold and architectural, true to the confident lines of 1970s Italian design. The pieces show honest signs of age and use consistent with genuine vintage pieces of this era.
