Brutalist Brass and Wood Sculpture PairSigned Ardisur — Spain, 1970s
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
Brutalism prized raw material contrast over ornament, and by the 1970s Spanish design house Ardisur was applying that same instinct to small sculptural objects — pairing a polished brass sphere with a plain wood band, letting the two materials sit against each other with nothing to soften the transition between them.

Sold as a pair
Brutalism prized raw material contrast over ornament, and by the 1970s Spanish design house Ardisur was applying that same instinct to small sculptural objects — pairing a polished brass sphere with a plain wood band, letting the two materials sit against each other with nothing to soften the transition between them.
This pair, signed Ardisur, Spain, 1970s, follows that brutalist formula in miniature: a brass sphere banded with a diagonal stripe of contrasting wood sits atop a slender brass stem, mounted on a square wood base. Note how the wood band cuts across the sphere at a consistent diagonal on both pieces, matching precisely from one to the other — the mark of a designed, matched pair rather than two similar objects assembled separately. Each piece is marked "ARDISUR S.L." on the underside of the base, confirming the maker.
Whoever displayed this pair before you kept them well. Both pieces show minor, honest wear consistent with genuine age. They are ready for a shelf, desk, or bar cart, sold together as a pair.
Each piece arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
