Vintage Art Deco Table Lamp, Brass-Toned Animal Figure, Frosted Glass Globe, 1940s

This is a piece of animalier lighting design — small table lamps built around a sculpted animal figure set beside a frosted glass globe, a genre that flourished in France and Belgium through the Art Deco decades of the 1930s and 40s. Rather than a shade in the usual sense, the frosted glass globe itself is the light source's diffuser, its surface softening the bulb into an even, ambient glow.

Here, a stylized brass-toned animal figure sits upright on its hind legs, caught mid-turn as if watching the globe beside it, its two-tone finish giving the figure real dimension against the plain sphere. Both figure and globe sit on a rectangular chrome-toned base, compact and desk-scaled, with a small inline switch built into the base for easy on-off use.

The lamp presents in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with age across the brass-toned figure and base. The frosted glass globe is unchipped and diffuses evenly.

The lamp is rewired and packed individually for shipping, fully insured. The wall plug is fitted to match your country's standard, free of charge. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
