The bouillotte lamp's drip-tray silhouette traces back to candlelit French card tables, where a wide dish beneath the flame caught dripping wax and doubled as a decorative flourish. Long after candles gave way to electricity, that same tiered profile remained a favorite for its restrained, classic proportions. This vintage lamp keeps that silhouette intact, adding a band of deep green along the stem for contrast against the brass.
The brass candlestick-form column rises from a wide, textured drip-tray base, with a dark green painted band breaking up the stem partway up. It's topped with the included pleated white fabric shade, giving the whole piece a slim, upright profile suited to a console, bedside table, or desk.
The lamp presents in very good vintage condition, with gentle, age-appropriate wear.
