Selket, also known as Serqet, was one of ancient Egypt's protective goddesses, linked to healing and traditionally shown with a scorpion resting atop her head. Egyptian Revival sculpture returned to figures like her repeatedly through the 20th century, translating temple and tomb imagery into brass for private collections rather than religious use. This vintage brass statue works squarely in that tradition.

The figure stands close to life-scale at 125 cm, cast in brass and finished with the fitted sheath dress, broad collar, and scorpion-topped headdress associated with Selket's traditional depiction. One arm extends outward from the body, giving the piece real presence as a floor sculpture rather than a tabletop figure, and it stands on a rectangular black marble base for stability.

The statue presents in very good vintage condition, with the brass holding its finish well throughout.
The piece is packed securely and shipped fully insured. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
