This double wall sconce is attributed to the 1950s. A wood-tone wall plate, folded at an angle, holds two short gilt metal arms that curve outward in a gentle V. Each arm carries a tall cone of white glass, decorated with a pattern of fine criss-cross lines. The cones narrow toward the top, so light spills upward from the open ends onto the wall above while the glass itself glows softly, a double effect mid-century designers loved.

The glass cones are in good condition, and the gilt metal is pitted, as you would expect at this age. Like every lamp we sell, the sconce is checked in our workshop before it is sent, so it arrives ready to use. It brings a cheerful mid-century touch to a hallway, a bedroom or a reading corner.
