Vintage Glass Rod Wall Sconce, Cascade of Clear Glass Rods on Chrome-Finish Frame, Two Lights, 30 cm
In the 1960s and 1970s, European lighting designers discovered how beautiful plain glass rods could be. Hung side by side in a curtain or a cylinder, they turned a simple bulb into a shimmering column of light. The look was glamorous and modern at the same time, and it remains one of the most admired designs of the period.
This wall sconce follows that idea. A chrome-finish frame fixes to the wall and holds two bulb fittings at the top. Around them hangs a half-cylinder of clear glass rods, set close together in a neat row. Each rod catches the light at its ends and along its length, carrying it down through the glass, so the whole cascade glows and sparkles when the sconce is lit. Even when off, the clear rods have a cool, crystalline look.
The sconce is in very good condition. Like every lamp we sell, it is checked in our workshop before it is sent, so it arrives ready to use. It suits a bedroom, a hallway or a dressing area, and brings a touch of glamour to a plain wall.
In short, this is a vintage wall sconce with a cascade of clear glass rods on a chrome-finish frame, with two lights. It measures 30 cm and is exactly as pictured.
