Vintage Neoclassical Style Table Lamp, White Baluster and Fluted Veined Stone Column with Gilt Metal Mounts, with Cream Shade

Soft white stone and warm gilt metal meet in a tall, slender column, with a cream shade on top. The lamp is quiet and light, and it suits a calm room.

The lamp has a white baluster shape at the top, set in a gilt metal cup. Below it is a fluted column of veined white stone, resting on a gilt metal mount and a square gilt plinth. The cups at the top and bottom of the column are edged with rows of rounded lobes. This is called gadrooning, a classical border that catches the light along every curve.

The lamp is in very good vintage condition. Before it leaves us, it will be fully rewired in our workshop. We've looked after it carefully, and it's ready for the next home. It suits a console in a hallway, a bedside table or a living room side table.

Summary: a white baluster and fluted veined stone column lamp, with gilt metal mounts and a square base, and a cream shade included.
