Crystal Ice BucketCristal de Sevres Square Ice Pail with Chrome Handle and Spoon — French, 1970s Design
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
The ice bucket earned its place on the bar cart in the decades when serving drinks at home became its own small theatre — and French crystal houses made sure the supporting props were worthy of the performance. Sèvres, a name carried in French luxury since the eighteenth century, produced barware through the postwar years in exactly this spirit: heavy crystal cut for the hand and the eye, built so that even the ice arrived at the table with some ceremony.

This ice bucket is French, a Cristal de Sèvres design of the 1970s: a square-section pail in thick clear crystal, its walls modelled in a soft, ice-like relief, swung on a flat chromed handle pivoting at two bolts, and accompanied by a slotted serving spoon pierced with a star. Lift it before you fill it — nearly two kilograms of crystal empty, and that mass is the point: thick walls insulate the ice and plant the bucket immovably on the bar while the thin chromed handle floats above, the material contrast the 1970s French houses loved. The relief walls do for the bucket what cutting does for a glass, breaking light across every face.
The crystal is in perfect condition — no cracks, no chips — with the chrome handle and spoon clean and bright, as the photographs show. Whoever poured their whiskies alongside this bucket before you kept it flawlessly. It belongs on a bar cart, a drinks cabinet, or the sideboard at your next gathering.
The bucket is heavy French crystal with its serving spoon included, nearly two kilograms together. It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — worldwide shipping and US import duties are included. For other destinations, local import taxes and duties may apply and are payable by the recipient. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
