Pair of Antique Style Single-Arm Wall SconcesFaceted Backplates, Octagonal Drip Pans and Hanging Ring Finials

Simple, solid and a little old-world, this pair suits panelled rooms, cottage hallways and anywhere a plain candle-style light feels right.

Each sconce has a faceted back plate in a soft brass tone, with a small pointed spire at the top and a ring hanging from a knob at the bottom. A short, squared arm curls out and up to an eight-sided drip pan holding a white candle sleeve. Much of the shape is built from flat, angled faces. This is called chamfering: the sharp corners of a square bar are cut away to make it eight-sided, which catches more light and looks less heavy.

The sconces are in very good vintage condition, and the old wiring reaches us as found. They have been kept together as a pair and are ready for a new wall. Hang them either side of a fireplace, along a staircase or by a front door inside.

Ring-drop pair: two brass-tone single-arm candle sconces with faceted back plates, octagonal drip pans and ring drops, rewired and sold as a pair.
