Silver-Plated Art Deco Style SculptureLady with Borzoi Dog, Dated 2001
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
Art Deco revival figurines picked up again decades after the style's 1920s and 30s heyday, keeping its signature silhouette alive: an elongated, poised female figure paired with a sighthound, the two forms balancing each other in a single composition. This silver-plated Art Deco style sculpture works in exactly that tradition, and its base carries a dated inscription — "Adelma - Deo, Aprile 2001" — placing its creation precisely in April 2001.

The figure stands in a draped, one-shoulder gown with a fabric wrap knotted at the hip, one hand resting confidently at her waist, her hair swept back beneath a fitted headband. Beside her, a Borzoi is rendered in close detail — long muzzle, layered coat, alert stance — anchoring the composition's sense of movement. Both metal figures are mounted on a reddish-brown wood base with an inscribed brass plaque at the front. The aged finish has visible colour variation.
The sculpture presents in good condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with two decades of handling and display. The silver-plated finish holds its tone well across both figures, with no flaking or loss to the plating.
