This vintage piece takes that idea and runs with it — a brass apple, complete with stem, that lifts open as a small lidded container rather than sitting as a solid sculpture.
The polished brass apple form carries a horizontal copper-toned band around its center for contrast, and the top section lifts away as a removable lid, revealing a hollow interior suited to rings, keys, or small trinkets. It rests on a matching round brass pedestal dish, its rim finished with a fine etched cross-hatch border.
