Vintage Pair of Gilt Metal Rococo Two-Light Candelabra on Marble Bases, Mirrored Acanthus Scroll Design
A vintage pair of two-light candelabra in gilt metal on solid marble bases, in the Louis XV Rococo style. They are attributed to the late 19th century. On each one, acanthus scrolls rise from an oval marble base into two branches ending in fluted candle cups on leafy drip pans. The pair is mirrored, so the two face each other on a mantel or table.
They are in very good vintage condition with an aged patina to the gilding and felt-lined bases, and suit a mantel, a dining table or a sideboard.
