A bonbonniere is built around a simple idea — a shallow bowl raised on a pedestal, with a central handle so the whole dish can be lifted and passed around the table in one motion. DETAILS
Materials: Silver-toned metal bowl, brass handle and supports
Function: Bonbonniere, candy dish, or centerpiece bowl
Style: Vintage, 1960s
Condition: Very good vintage condition
A bonbonniere is built around a simple idea — a shallow bowl raised on a pedestal, with a central handle so the whole dish can be lifted and passed around the table in one motion. This vintage piece follows that logic closely, pairing a wide, gently sloped bowl with a raised brass handle set right at its center.
The bowl itself is a polished silver-toned metal, shallow enough to hold sweets or small items without hiding them, rising from three brass leaf-form supports that sweep up to meet a slender brass handle. That handle is topped with a pinecone finial, giving the whole piece a clear focal point, and the bowl stands on a round pedestal foot for stability.
The bonbonniere presents in very good vintage condition, with the silver-toned bowl and brass fittings holding their finish well.
The piece is packed securely and shipped fully insured. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
