Mid-20th-century France saw a revival of neoclassical forms, pairing the restrained lines of 18th-century design with the glossier confidence of the Hollywood Regency moment sweeping through interiors at the time. This vintage table lamp sits in that particular genre — gold-toned scrollwork, a rich column color, and a crisp pleated shade working together rather than competing.
A gold-toned metal cap and base, finished with ornate scrolled feet, bracket a deep green wood column running between them. The included white pleated fabric shade completes the silhouette, keeping the proportions slender rather than heavy.
The lamp presents in very good vintage condition, with light signs of age throughout. The shade shows slight wear consistent with use.
