The turned brass column lamp base traces its roots to the classical orders of architecture — a small capital, a fluted shaft, a stepped foot — scaled down for desk and workshop lighting in the early 20th century. This vintage lamp base keeps that architectural logic intact, its Corinthian-style capital and fluted column doing the same job a full-size column once did.
The fluted brass column rises to a small Corinthian-style capital, standing on a stepped square base. It's fitted with a socket and a black turn-knob switch. Sold as a base only, with no shade included, so it's ready to pair with whatever shade suits your space.
The lamp base presents in very good vintage condition, with natural signs of age and patina consistent with its history. The brass carries a warm, aged finish throughout.
